Well the prices for bike labor changes greatly from state to state and That I know, but if you wanted a complete top and lower end rebuild..(piston rings ,gaskets, valve cleaning, retiming, adjusting carb for new "engine"....)..probably about 900 bucks here in Colorado...materials and labor. The price may be less or more...you never know. One thing though...if it dont smoke, dont rebuild it, hehe.
I do know the savage as an engine is pretty tight, mine had 37 k on it and didnt ever burn a drop of oil...the only thing to watch is the cam chain man......
